What is a Branding Session?

If you’ve ever hired a photographer for family photos, a branding session is the same concept but geared more specifically towards a business. These sessions are focused on helping a business’ brand stand out amongst the crowd. In turn helping them reach their targeted audience.

Prior to having a branding session, I sit with my clients and brainstorm. We dive into their particular goals for our time together. Looking at their current marketing plans, how they want to reach their ideal market, and what the competition is doing. My clients will share more of the vision they have, whether it’s atmosphere or products. We’ll take a look at what’s been working and what hasn’t been so far in their marketing, and prepare for our session together.

A branding photographer or videographer should be taking into consideration things like: ad content, blog content, website design placement, and social media design. The purpose of the branding session is to have images and videos that can be used in multiple places.

Questions to consider include: What photos need updated on social media platforms? Is the website up to date with content? Have we had updated headshots of the team? Are there any new products needing photographed?

When was the last time you had a branding session?

I go into more content relating to this on The Branded Academy! Be sure to check it out.
