Ep 3. Experiencing dissociation and ways to ground yourself

You’ve made it to the show notes for episode 3 of the From Grief to Gold podcast. In this episode I dive into what it feels like to experience dissociation and ways to ground and become more mindful. A huge part of coming out of dissociation is getting more focused on the present. If you struggle with this, I highly recommend speaking with a mental health professional. But I do want you to know you aren’t alone. I hate that you struggle with a situation like this. I would love for our brains to not protect us in such a seemingly scary way, but we can recover. Even if it ebbs and flows.

Writing my book, and reworking through old unhealed trauma, was a huge starter for my dissociation. While I’m grateful to have taken the time to work on it all, I would have done things differently had I realized how much it would affect me.
